The Voice UK: Sir Tom Jones will be back... if he can 'approve' the other coaches!

Sir Tom Jones (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK coach Sir Tom Jones has played down rumours he's quitting the show, saying he will be back if he can approve the other coaches.

It was reported earlier today that Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones had quit The Voice, but Welsh singer Sir Tom wasn't so quick to confirm the reports.

He said he'd love to be back on the show, but only if he could approve the other coaches beforehand.

Sir Tom told Rob Brydon on his new BBC2 chatshow: "I think I will do another series. We are talking about it now. But there are a couple of things that need to be ironed out.

“One of the things I said I need to know is who the other coaches are, because I don’t want to be sitting there with somebody that I don’t admire or particularly like... there are a few of them! Hopefully, we will have the same four coaches.”

The singing legend however did hit at some changes for the new series however, but wouldn't be drawn on exactly what.

He added: “There are going to be changes made because they want to make the show the best it can be.”

Auditions for The Voice UK 2013 begin later this year. Applications close at the end of this month.
