The Voice UK: Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones won't be back for series two

Coaches (The Voice UK)

Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones have reportedly quit The Voice UK, and will not back for next year's series.

According to the Daily Mirror, and Danny O'Donoghue will be the only members of last year's panel returning to the BBC One show.

Show insiders have claimed that Jessie J's axe was in part due to her 'diva' behaviour on set, and comments made away from the show.

Jessie hit out at the producers choices several times, and even admitted to not watching the show herself.

A source told the newspaper: “Jessie J is only young. I hope in a few years she looks back on the way she behaved during the show and cringes.”

Despite BBC One boss Danny Cohen wanting to keep the panel unchanged, the decision has been taken to "revamp" the series.

As well as possible new coaches, it will see more blind auditions and more "X Factor-style" production.

A spokesperson for the BBC insisted that talks for the new series were "ongoing".

It was reported last week that the BBC had been approaching stars including Sir Cliff Richard to join the panel.

Auditions for The Voice UK 2013 begin later this year. Applications close at the end of this month.
