The Voice UK 2012 finalist Sam Buttery lands role in West End show

Sam ButterySam Buttery, one of twenty hopefuls who competed in The Voice UK's live finals in April, has landed a role in Boy George's London West End show Taboo.

The Sun reports that the 20-year-old - coached by Tom Jones on the talent contest - will play Leigh Bowery, a role once held by Boy George himself.

He said: "Leigh Bowery is such an icon to me, so to get the chance to play him is just phenomenal. I just can’t wait!"
