The Voice 2012 finalist Tyler James has said he doesn't want the show to end!
The singer, the last of Will.i.am's artists, will be competing for a record contract during this Saturday's final.
“When people come up to me in the street and tell me they love my voice, I’m just amazed. I’ve always wanted this," Tyler said this week.
Speaking to The Sun, Tyler went on: “I’ve no idea who will win this weekend. I hope it’s me but I’m just thrilled to get this far.
“I’ve been doing what I love for months now and I never want it to end.”
And Tyler revealed how he almost never made it to the show.
The 30-year-old singer found himself in a downward spiral of drink and drugs following the death of pal and former girlfriend Amy Winehouse in 2011.
It left Tyler lacking in any confidence, and he was unsure about even singing for the coaches at his first audition.
He told the newspaper: "Five minutes before the judges’ auditions I said, ‘I can’t go on. I’m not ready. I’m not in the right place.’
“I went on but I did mess up. I was lucky I got Will.i.am as my coach and that he has an amazing ear. I’ll be forever grateful for him taking that chance.”
The Voice UK final airs this Saturday at 7:20PM.
