The Voice UK star Tyler James has claimed that sleeping with pal Amy Winehouse helped to give him confidence.
Tyler, who was picked by coach Will.i.am on Saturday to make the live shows, revealed this week he was more than friends with the late singer.
Speaking to heat magazine, Tyler told how his ex Amy helped him pick up the courage to perform again after struggling with depression.
"I was drinking morning, noon and night for three months. I’d cry my eyes out. At first it didn’t feel right to sleep together, but after I got better, it just felt right. She was my soulmate," he said.
Tyler beat fellow pal of Amy Winehouse Heshima Thompson to the live shows on Saturday night, after Will.i.am pitched the pair against one another with a Chris Brown track.
Tyler and the other artists in team Will perform for the public votes this Saturday night on BBC One.
