Axed The Voice UK artists complain over 'twisted' editing

Eliminated acts from The Voice UK have hit out at the show with claims of bad editing.

Last night saw some surprise decisions by the coaches as they cut their ten acts to five ahead of this weekend's first live shows.

One of the acts to leave, Emmy J Mac, complained on Twitter: "#thevoiceuk editors have made it seem as if I didn't like or respect @aleksjosh but that isn't the case. TV editing can be very clever."

She added: "Onwards and Upwards, It's time to show the world the person I really am as #TheVoiceUK didn't, a shame because I'm not bitter."

J Marie Cooper, who was controversially cut in favour of [tag]Sophie Griffin[/tag] wrote: "Where's my back story? Said a lot more..... They cut a lot of that."

But she later insisted: "Kinda cool I was trending... @BBCTheVoiceUK was a wonderful experience.. So much talent, looking forward to the future 🙂 xx"

Female duo Indie and Pixie were also left annoyed after being seen apparently clashing with battle rival Becky Hill.

"THIS HAS BEEN SO TWISTED," the girls tweeted. "Thankyou everyone for your support.. It's all good guys! We're so happy for @rebeckyhill , love her more than life xxxxxx (regardless of what The Voice say)"

Ben Kelly, who was eliminated ahead of Ruth Ann St Luce, expressed dissatisfaction with a lack of airtime.

He wrote: "Where did the rest of my battle go? #HalfASong #BlinkAndYoullMissIt #TheVoiceUK"

Despite the complaints, the BBC has uploaded full videos of all of the weekend's battles to its YouTube pages.

The 20 acts who made the live shows will perform from this Saturday.
