The Voice UK blind auditions: Lindsay Butler joins Team Tom Jones

Lindsay Butler - The Voice UKLindsay Butler became the ninth artist to join Team Tom Jones in tonight's final The Voice UK blind auditions show.

The 41-year-old from West Bromwich had wanted an career in music since childhood, but her plans were halted after she had two kids of her own.

Having admitted that she 'lacks confidence' in her looks, Lindsay took to The Voice stage to sing 'I Don't Want to Talk About It' - and Sir Tom clearly liked what he heard, becoming the only coach to turn for her.

After she received a standing ovation from the audience, the music legend told Lindsay: "You sounded great to me, you have a great tone and you did wonders with that song. You put your own stamp on it.

"We're gonna beat these people. You're gonna be on my team and that's it!"

Despite not buzzing in, Danny also complimented her voice as 'incredible'.

Later on, Tom added: "She's like, old school singing, like Adele if you like. It's that straight ahead pure voice. That's what she's got."
