The Voice UK auditions: Ruth Brown wows with powerhouse vocals

Ruth Brown - The Voice UK

19-year-old Ruth Brown hopes to do her dad proud when she auditions for The Voice UK tonight.

The young performer, who will be seen singing Kelly Rowland hit When Love Takes Over, reveals how her dad passed away last December.

"I know that my dad will want to give it my everything," she says. "[But] I'm really nervous, really nervous. I have no choice but to be the best I can be."

Ruth - who insiders have described as "the best act yet" to appear on the show - goes on to wow with her powerhouse vocals.

But with the coaches only able to put ten acts on their teams, is it too late for Ruth to win a place in the battle rounds?

Find out who, if any, of the coaches is interested when The Voice UK blind auditions conclude tonight at 7PM on BBC One.

Other acts appearing this weekend include Emily McGregor, Becky Hill, Sophie Griffin, backing singer Jaz Ellington and duo Indie and Pixie.
