The Voice UK artist Allyson Brown won a Mobo award!

Allyson Brown (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK hopeful Allyson Brown has already tasted fame, having won a MOBO award.

The 29-year-old singer, who has also worked as an actress in shows including Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, will be seen singing for the judges on Saturday night's latest show.

But it's been revealed that Allyson rubbed shoulders with some of music's elite after picking up the gong for Best Unsigned Act back in 1998.

Some 14 years on and despite the accolade, no record label has picked up Allyson, so will The Voice UK be her big break?

Watch The Voice UK on Saturday night on BBC One to see if either, Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue or Sir Tom Jones press their buzzers.

Amongst the other budding performers set to appear this weekend are former X Factor hopeful Joelle Moses, 'Aristocrat singer' Bo Bruce, teenager Kate Read and Amy Winehouse's pal Tyler James.

The Voice UK's blind auditions continue this Saturday night at 7PM on BBC One.
