Rocker Nathan James won over Simon Cowell, but what will The Voice UK coaches think?

Nathan James (The Voice UK)

A rocker who won praise from Simon Cowell will audition for The Voice UK this weekend.

Nathan James, who had tried out for The X Factor back in 2005, won over the music mogul with his unique voice.

Even now, seven years on, Nathan continues to boast about his compliments from the Syco boss, who described him as a "A male Joss Stone and a young Michael Bolton"

But will the Voice UK judges agree with that description?

Nathan will be amongst the latest batch of hopefuls to perform for the panel on Saturday night, as the blind auditions draw to a close.

Other hopefuls set to appear on Saturday night's latest show are former X Factor hopefuls Joelle Moses and Ruth Ann St Luce, 'Aristocrat singer' Bo Bruce and Indie performer Denise Morgan.

The Voice UK airs on Saturdays on BBC One.
