The Voice UK: Heshima Thompson says Will.i.am understands his "diversity"

Heshima Thompson (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK contestant Heshima Thompson has said he chose Will.i.am because he feels that the Black Eyed Peas star will understand his "diversity".

Saturday night's latest blind audition show saw Heshima impress all four of the coaches, leaving him with a tough choice over who to pick.

Following his performance of Taio Cruz track Dynamite, Heshima admitted: "I was blown away, they were all saying amazing things and I was in a dilemma and ended up choosing will.i.am."

And the former X Factor hopeful revealed he was split over who to choose, despite having a good idea in his head before starting to sing.

He explained: "In my head before I went in, it was going to be between Danny and wil.i.am but Jessie and Tom presented such a good argument it threw me off

"I think the ultimate the reason why I chose to with go will.i.am was because he had a precise account of where he feels I can go and he'll understand the diversity I have and allow that to grow."
