Dad of the late Amy Winehouse has backed Vince Kidd to win The Voice UK, it's been revealed today.
Vince shocked the coaches and viewers on Saturday night with an impressive and unusual take on Madonna hit Like A Virgin.
All four of the show's panel - Danny O'Donoghue, will.i.am, Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones - pressed their buzzers to turn around.
But the praise didn't stop there, with Mitch Winehouse contacting him after the show aired at the weekend.
Vince revealed: "Mitch contacted me and said, 'You did amazing'. I said 'I learnt from the best.'
"I met him before at a wedding. I was singing and he was like, 'You sound a bit like my daughter'. I was like, 'I love your daughter' and he said, 'Come to my birthday party and I'll introduce you'."
Speaking to The Sun, Vince revealed how he was inspired by Amy Winehouse, who died last summer.
He said: "I remember the first time I heard Amy, she had such an impact on me.
"I'm just so grateful that I got to meet her and tell her how much she inspired me."
