The Voice UK star Jessica Hammond has insisted she doesn't care about getting a number one album from the show; rather she only wants to be able to perform her music.
The 18-year-old wowed on Saturday night's opening show, joining Team Jessie after all four of the coaches turned around during her blind audition.
Talking after her performance, where the Belfast singer performed Jessie J track Price tag, Jessica insisted: "I’m not in this industry for money or fame; I’m in it because I love music and I think me and Jessie have that in common, where we both write from the heart."
Jessie told Jessica after her audition: "You don't know how amazing it is for me to sit here and have someone sing one of my songs. Thank you for doing it justice and putting your own stamp on it."
The youngster, one of three on Jessie's team of 10 artists, added: "The real joy for me comes from when I write a good song, and it has a brilliant message in it and I can give that to someone else and share that message.
"I'm 18 and I'm used to singing in a bar in Belfast. I've never travelled around the world or had a number one album, but I'll always be happy as I always have my music."
The Voice UK continues this weekend on BBC One.
