The Voice UK coach Jessie J has said she won't be strict with her artists, insisting she's not going to act like their mum!

Jessie currently has three acts on her team after Saturday's first blind auditions: [tag]Toni Warne[/tag], [tag]Jessica Hammond[/tag] and [tag]Ben Kelly[/tag].

Unlike some of the other coaches, and judges on rival shows like The X Factor, Jessie said there wouldn't been any romance, drink or smoking bans.

“I don’t believe in punishing. I believe in practice makes perfect," she explained. "At the end of the day I’m not their mum, they have to make the decision themselves."

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday this weekend about her coaching style, the 23-year-old went on: “They’re all adults. Yes, some of them are younger and there’s always the chance they might go out but I’m never going to preach at them.

"It’s not my job to do that."

However she did give her artists some tips, adding: “But what I will say is the way I survive, having the diary that I have, surviving on four or five hours’ sleep a night and singing live every day, is by not smoking, not drinking that much and getting as much rest as I can."
