Former Five boyband member Sean Conlon was rejected from tonight's opening Voice UK blind audiiton episode, after none of the coaches turned around.
The 30-year-old rose to fame in the 1990s with the group, with their tracks topping the UK charts for three consecutive years.
However in 2001, the group disbanded and all five members went their separate ways. Sean snubbed a failed comeback in 2007 in favour of pursuing his own solo career, which tonight saw him audition for The Voice UK.
The Jazz singer auditioned with Coldplay’s Trouble, performing with a piano on stage as his family watched on backstage with hosts Reggie and Holly, hoping for at least one of the coaches to turn around.
But it wasn't to be, with none of the four coaches pressing their buzzer.
A clearly defeated Sean ended with performance with a "I guess that's it then".
Turning around to finally see him, Jessie J remarked: “You were the first concert I ever saw!
“Your voice to me is beautiful as it is, I’d happily listen to you at home all day, and it completely chilled me out.”
