Black Eyed Peas star Will, a coach on the new BBC One series, is said to have pulled some strings to get the brunette beauty onto the new show.
“We’d welcome her to appear as a guest mentor or a singer," one source told the Daily Star today. "Will is a very charismatic man and can be very persuasive, so undoubtedly he is going to pull some strings.”
However the signing may not go down well with other Voice coaches, with Sir Tom Jones yesterday hitting out at the talentless judges on other reality shows.
He told us at TellyMix: "You think ‘How can that girl or that man critique this person when they don’t sound that good to start with.’"
The news is also unlikely to please Simon Cowell, who was apparently hoping to get Cheryl to perform on the upcoming Britain's Got Talent 2012 live shows.
A source told the newspaper: “He will not be happy. He believes they have unfinished business.”
“This is perfect revenge for Cheryl.
“Because it’s the BBC, people have been told not to gloat. However, there is no doubt it is a real coup.”
The Voice UK launches on BBC One on March 24.
