Pop Idol winner Will Young has revealed how he was fired as a coach from The Voice UK before even stepping in front of a camera.
While it’s no secret that Will was involved in talks for the BBC One show, he explained this week how he had actually got the job, but was given the axe days later.
"That was a shame. I got given it and then I didn’t again. They took it away," Will said this week. "I’m not sure why but that’s the reality – it’s a cruel world.
"Life goes on – I’m still alive and still breathing”.
Will was eventually somewhat controversially replaced by The Script star Danny O'Donoghue, joining Will.i.am, Jessie J and Tom Jones on the panel.
But the 33-year-old insists there are no hard feelings, saying Danny is a "really nice guy”.
The Voice UK launches on BBC One on March 24.
