The Voice UK coach Danny O'Donoghue admits he's the 'underdog' of the panel!

Danny O'DonoghueThe Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue has accepted that he's not the most famous coach on The Voice UK panel, labelling himself the 'underdog'!

There were more than a few cries of 'Danny O'Donog-who?!' when the BBC announced the 31-year-old as part of The Voice UK line-up, alongside megastars Will.i.am, Jessie J and the legendary Tom Jones.

Danny has now come to accept the jibes, saying: "I would be stupid if I said I was the most famous person up there on the panel. You have three of the most famous people in the world – and me.

"I am the underdog, for sure, but I really do not mind this."

However, he insisted he deserves his place on the show, adding: "Never ever underestimate me! I have been in the music business since I was 16.

"I know exactly what it is like and I can give my team so much help and advice on what to do and look out for."

As one third of The Script, Danny has two chart-topping albums and four top 40 singles under his belt - you certainly can't argue with that!

The Voice UK kicks off on March 24 on BBC One.
