The Voice UK coach Will.i.am reckons the show will be "dope" and "beautiful"

Will.i.am has said he thinks The Voice UK will become a "beautiful" and "dope" show when it kicks off on TV screens next month.

The Black Eyed Peas star is one of four musical coaches on the new BBC one music talent contest, which sees hopefuls take part in so-called "blind auditions".

Speaking about signing up for the show, Will said: "I did the show because there’s an opportunity to help somebody out like I was helped out. If I don’t try and make an artist bigger than me than why am I here?"

And discussing the twist on the typical talent show audition, Will added: "I think that's a beautiful way to go about it."
