Despite having chart topping hits all over the world at just 23 years old, Jessie told Jonathan Ross she still celebrates when one of her songs does well.
Speaking on his chat show this evening, Jessie told Jonathan about the time she heard 'Domino' had hit the top spot.
She said: “I was in Thailand and, I don’t often drink, but I was having a little drink, and I was in my pyjamas…we were sitting by the pool, beautiful evening, all having a glass of wine, and I went on my Twitter and I just saw, ‘You’re number one on iTunes.’
"So I freaked out, didn’t know what to do, so I thought, ‘I’m going to jump in the pool.’ Jumped in the pool, realised I was a bit tipsy, panicked, couldn’t swim. And you know when everything just gets really heavy? And I felt like I was back at school doing that exam, you know when you have to get the brick? So all my other friends started to jump in, and then we all took our clothes off, exciting stuff.
“And we put Domino on, had disco lights in the pool."
But despite the celebrations, Jessie admitted: "And then one of my best friends just looked at me and was like, ‘Babe, Flo Rida’s number one.’ And I was number one on the pop iTunes chart, but not the official chart so all of us were just standing there freezing cold naked, like, ‘Shall we just go to bed?’
“When I got back it went to number one.”
Thank god for that!
