The Voice UK: The Script's Danny O'Donoghue struggling to compete against fellow coaches

The Voice UK

The Script's Danny O'Donoghue reportedly struggled during filming of The Voice UK last month, with his low profile failing to attract singers to his team.

The new music reality show, which starts on BBC One this March, sees contestants given the choice to decide which coach's team to join if more than one of the four stars wants them.

However with global chart toppers and music legends like Will.i.am and Tom Jones on the panel, Irish Danny has been finding it tough competing against his fellow coaches.

It's not been helped by the other stars' underhand tactics, with Will.i.am promising one hopeful he'd sign her to his record own personal record label even if she didn't win.

A source told Star magazine: "The problem is when Danny and another judge both buzzed, the auditionees didn’t choose him because he’s not as well known.

"It was frustrating for him as he's a talented musician and wants to get together the best team possible."
