AJ will be snooping backstage throughout the ninth series of the ITV talent contest to bring fans all the latest gossip.

From the Blind Auditions to the grand final, she will get exclusive scoops from the superstar coaches and undertake ‘secret challenges’.

AJ is best known for her two-series stint hosting Big Brother spin-off show Bit On The Side in 2013.

Her new role on The Voice will reunite her with her former BB co-star, Emma Willis.

“I’m so happy that I am joining The Voice UK family as their Backstage Reporter,” AJ said.

“Teaming up with one of my fave hosts Emma Willis and iconic coaches Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am and Olly Murs is just part of the reason why I can’t keep calm. I’m so freaking excited to fan girl all over them!

“I thoroughly love the show and will work with abundant enthusiasm, whilst bringing a healthy dollop of northern charm. I might even kiss a coach. Who knows?!

“Get ready for music and mayhem!”

AJ takes over from Vick Hope, who was the online reporter for last year’s editions of The Voice and The Voice Kids.

Both presenters have worked together on 4Music’s afternoon show Trending Live.

AJ’s other credits include ITV2’s The Hot Desk and E4’s Dirty Digest.

Glamour magazine once described her as “the voice of Vera Duckworth with the looks of Naomi Campbell”.

The new series of The Voice began filming last month, and is due to hit our screens in January.
