'Exhausted' Cheryl Cole rules out a role on The Voice saying: "I need a break"

Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has seemingly ruled out joining new music reality series The Voice, saying that she's 'exhausted' and needs a break! Pals of the Geordie singer have been spilling the beans to the Sunday Mirror, with Cole saying she's likes no longer having to worry about The X Factor.

“I need a break. I need to rest and I need to reassess what I’m doing with my life. I haven’t had a break for nine years and I’m exhausted from it all. For once now I am going to take some time out,” a pal claimed Cheryl said (not dubious in the slightest....)

The Girls Aloud star continued her rant saying “I’ve not worked for a few weeks now and for once I don’t have to worry about anything. For once I can have some time for myself – not worry about X Factor, not worry about recording an album, not worry about anything.

“Suddenly I’m under no pressure and I actually feel the happiest I’ve felt in a long, long time. I’ve got a big place, I have enough money – and if I never get photographed again, I don’t care."

The 'Promise This' singer has been releasing material non-stop since she won Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002. This year is set to be the first in almost 10 years in which we'll see no new material from Cheryl. A blessing in disguise, perhaps...

Cheryl's friend continue to blab, quoting Cole as complaining: “I’ve always had people saying ‘we need to put an album out, we need to record it now’ and ‘we have to rehearse for this tour and that tour’ and ‘now we need to do auditions for X Factor’.”

The pal added: “Never underestimate her. She will emerge from this stronger than ever… she’ll be back, but only when she is ready.”

Cheryl has been tipped to judge on new rival BBC series The Voice, which is due to start in the winter of 2012.
