Dannii Minogue ruled out as a judge on the BBC version of The Voice

Dannii Minogue has been ruled out as a judge on the BBC version of reality telly series The Voice. According to The Mirror, BBC bosses felt the Aussie singer was 'too associated' with rival show The X Factor to join the new programme, due to air in early 2012.

A source told the tabloid: "Dannii is so associated with X Factor she wouldn’t be right for us.”

The 39-year-old singer unexpectedly quit The X Factor two weeks ago, blaming her departure on being unable to make next month's audition dates due to her work on Australia's Got Talent.

Other judges linked to the show include Robbie Williams and Adele.
