It's The Voice UK 2017 semi-final tonight and Max Vickers has revealed his song choice.
The singer got as far as the judges' houses on The X Factor in 2011 but is now just one stage away from The Voice UK final.
Tonight the power is solely in the hands of the public as four contestants are eliminated and four others win their way to the last stage of the competition.
The song Max is hoping will get him to the final is Boys Don't Cry by The Cure.
"My favourite thing about the song I'm singing this week is it's such an amazing song!" he raved. "I think most songs I hear nowadays I don't really like but I love The Cure so much and I love this song.
"I think it's just such a well-written song and the melody works so well with it - I think it's just a perfect, perfect song."
Following last week's Quarter Finals, it's all even in the teams with Max's Team Gavin teammate Truly Ford also still in the running to be crowned The Voice 2017 winner.
Tonight she'll be singing Elastic Heart by Sia.
"My favourite thing about this song is that it's written by Sia , and that just such an emotional song. I can't wait to perform it because I can just let rip and be free on stage," Truly said.
Max and Truly will be competing for four spots in the grand final against Will.i.am's line up of two made up of Jason Jones and Michelle John.
Jennifer Hudson has both Jamie Miller and Mo Adeniran fighting her corner while Sir Tom Jones's team consists of Into the Ark and Craig Ward.
The Voice UK 2017's live semi-final airs this Saturday night between 8:30PM and 10:20PM.
