The Voice UK coach Gavin Rossdale has opened up about his split from Gwen Stefani.
The two music makers were together for almost 20 years after getting together when their bands No Doubt and Bush toured together.
However they announced a split in 2015 and were officially divorced in 2016.
Speaking to US Weekly magazine, the Bush frontman opened up about his split this month: “We’re all products of nuclear families.
"My parents have been married three times each. I’m just a junior. I never thought I would get divorced. But it just happens.”
He added: “It really teaches you perspective on life. It's really health, happiness and safety. After that, I don't know what there is other than that."
Gavin went on to say that he was now focused more on his family and career rather than relationships.
He explained: "I'm not sure I'll ever go at it [marriage] again. I'm trying to be a really good dad and make good records and shoot good TV shows."
Meanwhile, Gavin has also told how he looks to ex-wife Gwen for inspiration on The Voice UK.
While it's his first time in the chair himself, Gavin has experience on The Voice in the US as a battle advisor to Gwen when they were together.
Gavin revealed: "She didn't give me any advice about joining The Voice but she said congratulations and good luck.
"When I watch her on the show, it seems like such an easy thing for her to do, she's so great at it."
He added: "I was taken aback by how emotionally connected you get to people when you are in there and see what it means to them to have been chosen. You just can’t help being emotionally invested.
The Voice UK 2017 blind auditions continue this Saturday night at 8PM on ITV.
