But she is open to being stolen by the Black Eyed Peas star in the upcoming battle round stages of the show.
31 year old Tanya from Bristol's career in music began when she dropped out of college and was in a band for three years. It was whilst in the band that she learnt to write and perform.
She co-wrote a song called 'The Hardest Ever' for The Voice coach, Will.I.Am. Tanya said, "he jumped on it and turned it into the monster of a track that it is" before explaining she was nervous to perform in front of him at the blind audition and to meet him for the first time.
While following that success Tanya experienced some momentum and buzz around her music, it unfortunately didn't last and escalate as she wanted it to and she hit a place where things started to slow down and stop.
On The Voice on Saturday, Will didn't turn but both Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale did, with Tanya opting to join the latter's team.
However could that all change in the battle rounds?
Tanya teased in a chat with Good Morning Britain this week: “It was so surreal, that was the first time I’ve ever met him.
“Will can steal me back so we’ll see how it unfolds, it’s a funny situation.”
Meanwhile, Tanya told DigitalSpy that she wasn't disappointed that Will didn't turn for her.
She said: "I think you've just got to have the attitude of what is meant to be will be.
"It was interesting to see how it was edited because I forgot I had said that and then he didn't turn!"
Tanya added: "It was funny, it's such an unusual situation to be in. This industry, a lot of the time the writers don't meet the artists they collaborate with.
"So it was funny to actually meet him on this platform... on TV. I just find the whole thing really funny and bizarre!"
The Voice UK 2017 continues this weekend on ITV.
