The Voice UK: Jennifer Hudson's son David joins her at the blind auditions

The Voice 2017: Jennifer's son makes a guest appearance

Jennifer Hudson and her son

Jennifer Hudson invites her son to join her on stage in The Voice UK 2017 tonight.

The new coach on The Voice UK gets seven-year-old son David to sit alongside her in the famous spinning red chairs.

“This is my son!” Jennifer reveals to the other coaches and audience.

“Hop in my chair! If you like somebody, you tell Mommy. You say ‘Mommy! Hit the button!’ and we going to spin around,” she says.

However David takes some persuading to hit the button, with Jennifer encouraging: "You don’t want to spin around? David!”

Little David is the son of Jennifer and her fiancé, WWE wrestler David Otunga, who have been together since 2008.

David's guest appearance on The Voice UK airs in tonight's show on 8PM on ITV.

This evening sees Week 2 of the brand new series with Jennifer joined by Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale on the show.

After week one, Team Gavin and Team Jennifer have two acts apiece while Team Tom and Team Will each have one act, leaving plenty of spaces to fill up on all four teams.

Each coach needs 10 acts for the next stages - the battle rounds - and will be seen fighting over the best acts

Acts on this week's show include female duo Capital B, made up of Zoe Hedge and Ebony Wilson, 29-year-old Chelsea Baldwin from Liverpool and 28-year-old Charlie Drew from Leicester.

Georgie Braggins, 21, from Hertford sings Everytime We Say Goodbye in her bid to make the battle roudns while teenager Jamie Miller performs Let It Go - the James Bay song, NOT the Frozen one...

Other hopefuls are 29-year-old Carter from Billingham in Teesside, the night's youngest auditionee, 18-year-old Shannon Kitchen, Bristol based Ben Fernihough and Michelle John from Bromley.

The Voice UK 2017 airs tonight at 8PM on ITV.
