Gavin Rossdale has revealed all on working with his fellow coaches on The Voice UK.
British rocker Gavin, who has racked up huge success on both sides of the Atlantic with his band Bush, is one of this year's all star musical coaches for The Voice 2017 on ITV.
Speaking about joining the show last year, Gavin said: “I am so thrilled to be joining The Voice UK. I have always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can’t wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.”
Now chatting ahead of the first blind auditions on TV this weekend, Gavin has spilled on getting on with his fellow coaches off camera.
"I’ve known Will forever. We were both signed to Interscope Records and we’ve done a million festivals with them over the years when he was with the Black Eyed Peas," Gavin explained this week.
He continued: "Jennifer is quite special, very beautiful and very thoughtful in her advice. What I like about her is that she’s really lived. She’s gone from working and singing at Burger King to winning an Oscar.
“And Tom Jones is out of control because he’s Tom Jones. He’s actually our Elvis. I’ve always thought of him like that."
Speaking to the Daily Record about his relationship with Sir Tom in particular, Gavin went on: “I sort of feel a little bit like he’s taken me under his wing. We all sang a song together. To sing with Tom was just otherworldly.
“He was mates with Elvis so you might hear a few incredible stories here or there."
And the Bush frontman blabbed: “We stay up and drink brandy most nights and see in the early hours and sometimes have early breakfasts and then bang to work.
“My mum has always been such a big fan so she’s mega-impressed.”
The Voice UK will launch at 8PM on Saturday night on ITV.
