The Voice UK 2017 starts on Saturday night on ITV and Jennifer Hudson is ready to do battle.
The American singer is one of two new coaches on the show this year, joined on the panel by fellow newbie Gavin Rossdale as well as Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones, who was dropped from the show last year.
The four piece will kick off the search for talented singers at the blind auditions and each coach will be going all out to build the strongest team of talented singers.
And that will no doubt mean clashes as the music stars fight over the best contestants.
"I’m going to take their necks off… watch! People want a battle and I agree," a ruthless Jennifer said this weekend. “Will is my biggest competitor because he is so good at this show.
“Will is competitive when he does turn around. He’s the hardest one to get to turn around, but when he sees someone he wants he’s going to get them. And then Tom, he’s the big dog.”
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jennifer went on to admit she had found it "difficult" saying no to hopefuls in the audition rounds.
"I know what it’s like. I want to send everybody through. I would, I really would," she told the tabloid. “Even when I don’t pick them I’m fussing at the others and saying, ‘Push the button.’ That’s because if I don’t push the button it’s probably not because I don’t like you.
“It should be fair game and I feel like you should go to the best hands. If I can encourage the others I would.”
The Voice UK starts next Saturday night (January 7) on ITV from 8PM.
