Ricky Wilson won't rule out a return to The Voice UK as it moves to ITV

The Voice - Episode 4

Ricky Wilson has revealed he's not ruling out a return to The Voice UK.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman was a coach on the show for three years when it was on the BBC.

But he stepped down this year when the series moved to ITV, who have added Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson to previous BBC coaches Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am.

While we can rule Ricky out of the next series, with ITV signed up to air the show for at least three years could we see him back next winter?

"I enjoyed sitting next to Tom, he inspired me to make more records," Ricky said today. “He’s the biggest scrapper around, he’s always fighting to stay at the top of his game."

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, Ricky laughed: “I’m not missing The Voice yet, but as soon as I’m watching it on telly I’ll be livid."

And he revealed: “I’m not ruling out a return. I’ll probably watch the first one and then get angry.”

“I did love it, but if you asked any of the crew, they’d tell you I was horrible when we were doing that show. I was in tatters the entire time.”

While Ricky is no longer on the show, he revealed last month that he's still very much in touch with the acts he mentored over the years.

Ricky said in an interview: "I'm stressed today because I haven't texted back Stevie McCrorie or emailed back Beth McCarthy and I'm worried they'll think I'm ignoring them."

And Ricky even revealed: "I went on holiday with Nathan Amzi this year. I never expected that when starting out."

The Voice UK starts on ITV from January.
