The Voice UK: Jennifer Hudson gets picky at the blind auditions

The Voice UK: Jennifer Hudson

The Voice UK coach Jennifer Hudson is said to be difficult to please on the show.

Jennifer is one of four coaches on the series, which is now in the hands of ITV, alongside Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale.

But it's been reported that she's being very picky about the contestants she spins around for.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, in one recording session Jennifer didn't turn at all.

An audience member claimed: “The other judges were excited by a lot of the acts, but Jennifer was less impressed and looked like she’d rather be anywhere else.

“She seemed bored at some points and was given slippers and a blanket by staff.”

However while Jennifer may need something amazing to win her over, it seems once she hears it she's all in.

A production source revealed to the tabloid: “Jennifer has been a revelation as a coach since she flew over from America. She has hit the ground running and viewers will even see her getting on stage and singing during some of the auditions.

“The show is looking really different this year and Jennifer is helping it to feel fresh and exciting.”

Speaking earlier this month, Jennifer confidently declared she was going to "find the voice".

And she suggested her past experience on American Idol will help her connect to the contestants here in the UK.

She said: "I’m going to find the voice, that’s what I’m going to bring to the table. I want to talk to the contestants, I want to connect with them because I’ve been through a similar experience.

"And let them know ‘I am here for you, I know what you’re going through’. I know the pressures, I know your dream, I know how important it is to you…”

The Voice UK will air on ITV from 2017.
