The Voice UK winner Kevin Simm is set to miss the Top 40 chart with his album.

Former Liberty X singer Kevin became the fifth winner of The Voice UK earlier this year, topping the public vote in what was the final BBC series.

He released original song All You Good Friends following his win which made it to Number 24 in the charts back in April after selling 24,000 copies.

However the song does NOT feature on Kevin's new 10-track album Recover, which was released on Friday following new single Wildfire.

According to the Official Charts Company Recover is on course to miss the Official Top 40 Albums Chart this weekend.

The record is currently at Number 49, making it the second lowest debut of any winners from The Voice UK.

Although the track record for all of them isn't great: Only Series 2 winner Andrea Begley made any real impression on the chart, peaking at Number 7 with her record back in 2013.

Last year's winner Stevie McCrorie charted at 35 while 2014 champ Jermain Jackman reached Number 42. Winner of series 1, Leanne Mitchell, made it to 134.

The Voice UK will move to ITV from next year and the channel has teamed up with Polydor Records to promote future winners.
