New coach of The Voice UK Gavin Rossdale has been looking to his ex-wife for tips.
British rocker Gavin is one of four coaches on The Voice 2017 on ITV, sitting in the same red chair as his ex Gwen Stefani is on the other side of the Atlantic.
The couple split up earlier this year after more than a decade together.
“It’s ironic and it’s like nothing’s surprising any more," Gavin said about the situation.
He gushed about his ex-wife on the US version of The Voice: "She’s so incredible at it. I’ve watched her. She’s really, really brilliant at that show. She’s so natural at it. I hope that I’m just half as good as her.”
While The Voice UK won't be back on Saturday nights until the New Year, Gavin is still busy at the weekends with another show.
“Even more ironic is that I’m (on TV) on Saturday night and so is Daisy," the Bush frontman told The Sun newspaper. “Again, it’s all crazy. I’m just in a state of shock most of my life!"
Speaking about Daisy on Strictly, Gavin added: “I’m just going to try to enjoy it. She’s incredible — blown me away. I’ve been to see a few rehearsals.
“I went down there a few times. You can’t tell who’s the professional.”
Gavin is joined by Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson on The Voice UK on ITV.
The show will air from January on the channel.
