The Voice 2017 judges hit the red carpet as blind auditions begin

The Voice UK coaches revealed

The Voice UK 2017 judges kicked off the series last night with a red carpet launch.

While the show may not be on TV until January next year, filming begins this week in Manchester with the new line up of coaches.

Next year the show is moving to ITV but there will be some familiar faces as Black Eyed Peas frontman is back for what will be his sixth series.

And frankly, we wouldn't have it any other way.

But who else is joining him?

Well ITV have undone the BBC's controversial work to bring back Sir Tom Jones to the show alongside two new names.

There's American singer Jennifer Hudson who we're VERY excited to see as well as British rocker Gavin Rossdale from band Bush.

The four piece were filmed at The Voice UK studio in Manchester last night alongside Emma Willis, who is confirmed as host of the show.

However ITV have revealed that her former co-host Marvin Humes will NOT be joining her as the show moves over to ITV.

Emma and the coaches will be in Manchester this week for the blind audition stage of the contest.

Just like when the show was on BBC One, acts will step out on stage to sing to the backs of the coaches.

If a coach likes what they hear, they can hit their buzzer to spin around and pick up that act for their team.

If more than one coach turns, the power shifts back to the contestant to pick which team to join.

But if no coaches turn, it's unfortunately the end of the road for the singer in the spotlight.

No start date for The Voice UK has been revealed just yet - and won't be for many more weeks - but it's expected to launch early January on Saturday nights on ITV.
