Will.i.am and Emma Willis have been confirmed for the first ever series of The Voice UK Kids next year.

ITV have confirmed today that Will will be a coach on both the Kids version of the show and on the main series.

will.i.am said: “I’m delighted to be continuing The Voice UK on ITV and being a voice of direction and guidance for the usual suspects, and I’m thrilled to add The Voice Kids to the mix.

"I know The Voice switched to ITV, but I’m not going to BREXIT The Voice UK. I’m happy to make ITV my home now. I love the UK.”

No other names have yet been confirmed but it's expected The Voice UK Kids will see a total of three coaches, including one unique to the spin-off show.

Alongside news of Will's appointment to the panel, ITV have confirmed that Emma Willis will be hosting the Kids version of The Voice UK as well as the main show.

Emma said today: “Hosting The Voice Kids will be like being at my house on a Saturday night; lots of kids singing, with me trying to keep some kind of order.

"Thankfully, the musical genius that is will.i.am is there to bring some expertise to the table. It’s going to be pretty awesome.”

The Voice UK Kids didn't air on the BBC so the ITV series will be the first for the UK.

The show will see children aged 7 to 14 competing in a smaller version of the main singing competition.

Applications are open now with info available at www.itv.com/thevoiceuk.
