Rita Ora is said to be lined up for a potential return to The Voice UK after leaving The X Factor.

The Hot Right Now hitmaker had originally appeared as a coach on The Voice when it was on BBC One in 2015.

However she quit after the series to appear on The X Factor panel later the same year.

Earlier this year, Rita announced her decision to quit The X Factor, tweeting last month: "I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team."

And in a message to Simon Cowell, Rita added: "Can't wait to work with you again... I'll be round for dinner soon. Thank you for the experience & love X"

A spokesperson for The X Factor added: "Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls' category, leading Louisa to victory.

“We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year.”

Could Rita's music plans involve a role on The Voice UK as it moves over to ITV?

According to The Sun newspaper, show bosses are hopeful they can lure her back alongside

Speaking last year, Rita had suggested that she did prefer The Voice to The X Factor as she described Simon Cowell's talent show as "more brutal" and claimed that the six chair challenge "nearly killed" her.

"It is a different format to The Voice. One is a judge and one is a coach," Rita remarked of the two shows. “You have to be more brutal on the X Factor and you have to rely on all the live things that are going on."

She added of the six chair challenge: “I did not like promising someone something then taking it back.”

As yet ITV have yet to announce any coaches for The Voice UK with a number of names rumoured, from past coaches to new faces.
