Will.i.am reckons Mariah Carey would be a perfect name for The Voice UK on ITV.
But he doesn't think Cheryl will be jumping across to the show after leaving The X Factor earlier this year.
Chatting to The Times newspaper about possible coaches for The Voice UK next year, the Black Eyed Peas star said: "Cheryl? I don't even know if she'd do it."
Instead, Will.i.am proposed: "Mariah Carey!"
As for his own future on the show, Will refused to say either way.
He only commented: "I love 'The Voice', I really do. I love shedding light on the kids."
So far no coaches have been confirmed for The Voice UK on ITV for 2017.
However with filming beginning around September time we should expect to hear news over the summer if not sooner.
Alongside Will, Ricky Wilson, Boy George and Paloma Faith appeared on the last BBC One series but it's not clear if any will be back.
Rita Ora has been tipped to make a comeback having quit for The X Factor before then leaving that this year.
Also rumoured to return are former coaches Kylie Minogue and Jessie J, as well as Sir Tom Jones who was controversially cut from the panel last year.
The Voice UK will air on ITV from January 2017.
