The Voice UK's Jolan has said he's happy to have finished second on the show, describing it as the "perfect outcome".
Speaking after the weekend's final, Jolan said: "It gives me the freedom now to do my own thing."
He explained: “I’ll be working towards a music career. I just want to write, record, release some music and perform it.”
Jolan, who didn't even make it past the blind auditions back in 2014, went to say of team mate and friendly rival Kevin: “He’s like a brother. We’re quite similar people and what ever happens we’ll support each other.
“We wouldn’t be there if we didn’t want to win, but I’m so happy he won. I respect him and he respects me.”
Chatting to the News & Star, Jolan also revealed he was still coming to terms with the "mental" reaction on Twitter and YouTube.
Now back in his home village in Cumbria, Jolan added: “I wake up and feel like I need to do something because it’s been so busy for weeks.
“I needed a few days rest, but now I’ve got an urge to get going.”
The Voice UK will return next year, this time on ITV.
