The Voice UK: Kevin Simm's winner's song in the Top 10 in midweek chart

The Voice - Episode 12

Kevin Simm's The Voice UK's winner's song has made it into the Top 10 in tonight's midweeks.

It was Kevin won who The Voice UK 2016, releasing his version of the winner's track straight after the show.

It's only the second time in The Voice UK history that we've got a proper single from the champion and the first time EVER that it's an original track.

Kevin's song All You Good Friends was released late on Saturday night is currently sitting at Number 10 in the midweek charts after just over a day on sale, the Official Charts Company reports.

Right now Kevin remains at Number 2 on iTunes and could be on course to get the best charting winner's single from The Voice UK to date.

The week after they won, Series 1 champ Leanne Mitchell's Run To You was at Number 45, in 2013 Andrea Begley managed Number 30 with My Immortal while 2014 winner Jermain Jackman got to Number 75 with And I Am Telling You.

Last year Stevie McCrorie had the most success yet with his cover of Lost Stars officially charting at Number 6.

While it's been a good start for Kevin there is still a long way to go until the final chart countdown on Friday evening.

Right now leading the way are Drake's One Dance and Sia’s Cheap Thrills.

The week's Official Top 40 chart countdown will be comprised of not only iTunes sales but other downloads and physical copies as well as online streams.
