In fact, Ricky admitted to being a fan of both of Simon Cowell's talent shows and confessed he was gutted he couldn't tune in to the opening of BGT on Saturday because of The Voice final.
“Britain’s Got Talent came back on the night, I was sad I couldn’t watch it," he told the Daily Mirror newspaper. "I like X Factor too – Simon Cowell is a genius.”
Ricky became the first ever coach of The Voice UK to win two series at the weekend as both of his final acts finished in the top two.
Kevin Simm eventually beat Jolan in the public vote, with Ricky saying that he "went out in style".
“It’s not exhausting until it’s over," Ricky explained. "I feel a bit like grieving actually, I’ve loved every minute. But what a way to go out!”
He continued: “I certainly went out in style. I got attached, you invest emotionally.
"What a ride – I would’ve not missed it for the world. I came to it kicking and screaming, I did it for the band."
And as speculation mounts over who will stay on as coaches for The Voice on ITV, Ricky teased: "Now I don’t want to go.”
