The Voice UK's Jolan Gidney-Craigen will dedicate his performance tonight to his late mother.
Jolan returned to The Voice this year after not making it past the blind auditions back in 2014.
One of the reasons for Jolan's decision to make a comeback was to honour his mum, who sadly passed away suddenly not long after his first appearance on the show.
This evening Jolan will be making a bid for the final and will be singing in memory of his mum with one of her favourite tracks.
“This is the song I have wanted to do from the beginning," the 22-year-old revealed. "It’s hopefully going to be my performance of the series.
“It’s the song that started it all for me.”
In a candid interview with the News and Star, Jolan credited his mother with kickstarting his passion for music.
“[Music] was her life,” he said. “She couldn’t sing a note but she loved listening to music.”
Away from what's set to be a very emotional solo performance, Jolan will also be singing a group number this evening with coach Ricky Wilson and teammate Kevin Simm.
“This is for me about three guys, well three friends at this stage, having fun. I think everyone’s going to enjoy it,” Jolan teased.
The Voice UK 2016 airs tonight at 7PM, LIVE on BBC One.
