Beth Morris' surprise exit from The Voice UK came as a "big shock" to the rest of the finalists.
Beth pulled out of the live shows last week with just hours to go before the first performances.
"Due to personal reasons which have only just come to light, The Voice producers, the BBC and Beth have agreed that she should withdraw from The Voice," a spokesperson for The Voice said at the time.
Beth added: "Being on The Voice has been the best experience of my life, the production team and contestants have all been incredible and I have loved performing on the show. Paloma has also been a great support."
Speaking this week, Team Will's Lydia Lucy revealed that she was in the dark about what went down but that the departure left all of the contestants stunned.
"I literally know nothing about the circumstances but it was a big shock to all of us," she said.
Following the drama of last weekend, it's since been reported that Beth's exit was due to drug issues.
A spokesman for the BBC issued the following the statement: "Producers were not made aware of Beth’s issues when she joined The Voice.
"When they came to light this week we agreed with her that the best course of action would be to withdraw from the competition.
"We are offering her all the support she needs and wish her well with her recovery and her future career.”
Beth wasn't the only act to leave before the live show with Chloe Castro also bowing out for unrelated health reasons.
As a result only the two acts were eliminated via the public as Harry Fisher and Lauren Lapsley-Browne were voted out of the competition in last Saturday evening's results.
Lydia admitted it was "sad" to see other acts leave but added to the Daily Mirror newspaper that she was looking to the positives.
"I'm having a ball. It's sad when friends get voted off - like last week we lost Lauren and Harry but the whole thing has been hugely positive," the Team Will singer explained. "And that's the secret to life - be yourself and be positive."
The Voice UK live shows continue tonight on BBC One.
