ITV are reportedly keen to get Robbie Williams as a coach for The Voice 2016.
It's claimed that the channel is hoping to finally sign up the singer after he snubbed offers for rival show The X Factor.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper this week: “X Factor have been courting Robbie for years but The Voice team think they have a better chance because their filming schedule is shorter, and it allows him to concentrate on other projects.
“They want to shake up the show’s dynamics and Robbie ticks all the boxes in terms of personality and experience.”
Show bosses, who are already putting together next year's series despite this year's season still being on air, reckon a stint on The Voice would also be in Robbie's interests.
The insider explained: “The audition stage of The Voice will be filmed later this year before live shows in 2017.
"It’s around the time his new album is due and would be a great platform to promote the new record.”
The paper also claims that Jason Derulo is on a 'wish list' of stars for the spinning chairs, although an ITV spokesperson said that no decisions had been made yet.
A spokesperson for Robbie declined to comment on the rumours.
The latest reports follow news that suggested The Voice UK format would remain the same when the show switches channels.
