Beth Morris quit The Voice UK 2016 this evening ahead of the live shows.
There was just ONE HOUR to go before tonight's live Quarter final when news of Beth's exit broke, alongside confirmation that Chloe Castro had to withdraw from the competition due to illness.
A spokesman for The Voice UK confirmed: “Two contestants have left The Voice and will not appear on tonight's edition or the remaining live shows.
"These departures are unrelated. Due to health reasons Chloe has withdrawn from the competition. We wish her all the best.”
Chloe said in a short statement: “I have decided to leave The Voice for health reasons.
"I have had a fantastic time and wish all the other contestants all the best in the competition.”
As for Beth's exit, completely unrelated to that of Chloe's, an official statement said: "Due to personal reasons which have only just come to light, The Voice producers, the BBC and Beth have agreed that she should withdraw from The Voice."
Beth added in her own comment: "Being on The Voice has been the best experience of my life, the production team and contestants have all been incredible and I have loved performing on the show. Paloma has also been a great support."
Now according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Beth's exit came "amid allegations of a drugs scandal."
The tabloid reports on "claims Beth has a drug problems came to light" in the run up to The Voice live shows.
A source also told the newspaper that Paloma was "devastated".
"Paloma takes a huge personal interest in her acts, far more than the other coaches," they said. "She gets very close and this is really crushing.”
Beth performed alongside the other finalists just days ago in the run up to the live shows, so whatever has gone on did so suddenly.
The Voice UK continues Saturday nights on BBC One.
