Will.i.am says he wants Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones back on The Voice UK next year.

The show switches channels to ITV from 2017 and Will thinks show bosses should take the series back to the way it all started in 2012.

Will is the last remaining original coach and began The Voice UK alongside Jessie, Danny and Sir Tom, who stayed together for both the first and second series.

And now he thinks ITV should ditch Ricky Wilson, Boy George and Paloma Faith and reinstate the former stars.

"I would only return if Tom and Jessie J come back, and Danny. Then yeah, I’m back next year," Will is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying. “If they did the originals then, woah, that would be different.”

Whether or not the past coaches would be up for it is another matter, although back in 2014 Jessie did hint at a return.

“I miss doing The Voice," she said. “Winter days remind me of doing the show, but who knows? It might not be that long until I’m back on The Voice. Wink, wink!”

While The Voice UK doesn't move to ITV until next year, with the show beginning filming as early as September we should know the coaches by summer.

Earlier this week Will let slip that he had to make a decision by May amid rumours ITV were offering 'up to £2.5 MILLION' to get him to sign up.

A spokesperson for ITV said that no decisions about their version of The Voice UK had been made yet.

For now, the show continues on BBC One this Saturday night with the first live show of this year's fifth season.
