The Voice UK coach Ricky Wilson has bizarrely encouraged viewers NOT to vote for his acts.
Team Ricky this year is made up of Chloe Castro, Kevin Simm and Jolan and all three are fancied as potential winners.
But Ricky, reigning champ after triumphing in last year's final in Stevie McCrorie, has told fans to "not bother" voting.
Instead, he wants those who are backing the acts to show support by buying their music when it's released.
Ricky told the Daily Express newspaper: "People can pick up the phone and vote, but they can also go online and buy songs and it's cheaper to buy a song than it is to vote.
"On Saturday night if you think about voting on The Voice, don't bother! Just wait unit they put out a song and buy it, because it'll be cheaper."
It's a nice idea but does sort of defeat the whole competition aspect of the show.
Plus of course in order to release any music - at least with the backing of a major label - an act needs to win.
UPDATE: It's since been claimed that Ricky was merely "joking" with his remarks, with Boy George adding: "Ignore what Ricky said! You have to vote. You have to f**king vote. Vote, and get your friends to vote!"
The Voice UK live shows start this Saturday and the Quarter-Finals will see the return of the fast pass twist.
After all the performances, each coach will be able to save one act from their teams who will go straight through to the Semi-Finals.
Of the remaining eight, HALF will go when the four with the least votes from the public are eliminated.
It all starts Saturday evening at 8PM on BBC One.
