Eli Cripps is preparing to do battle on The Voice 2016 this weekend.
The Team George singer impressed during the blind auditions with a Jess Glynne cover and is now in the battle rounds.
This week Eli will be performing If I Were Your Woman by Gladys Knight as she goes head to head with Leighton Jones in the musical duels.
“It could have easily been a battle but it ended up being a lovely duet," Eli teased of the performance from Saturday's show. “We were fighting for our place to get through but you spend so much time with each other you become friends.
“He has a great voice and we had a great time.”
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Eli said that Boy George had "intrigued" her as a mentor.
“I didn’t have anybody in mind before I went on the show but something about him intrigued me," she said.
And Eli - who previously made the bootcamp on X Factor - praised the The Voice for respecting its artists.
She said: “The Voice has always had a great production and a lot of dignity and integrity. They respect the people who come in to audition and that’s what drew me to the show.
“This year is a lot more fun. Boy George and Paloma have brought a lot more banter in and there’s more banter from Will and Ricky.”
Find out who wins in the battles and who gets stolen when The Voice UK 2016 airs this Saturday night from 7PM on BBC One.
