Cody Frost and Heather Cameron-Hayes's emotional battle on The Voice UK 2016 tonight had mentor Boy George in tears.

The two VERY different youngsters went head to head in the duets, singing a cover of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U as they competed for a spot in the Knock-out rounds.

The delicate and touching performance left Boy George very moved.

In tears, he told the pair: "It was beautiful it was exactly what I thought it was going to be but better."

Paloma Faith agreed: "It was absolutely beautiful, it was a special duet, it was haunting."

Having to pick between the pair, Boy George delivered his verdict: "Heather, you brought me to tears, you're 17 and you have a massive future for you and I feel this is going to end well whatever happens, but because I fought so hard for Cody in the auditions and because you remind me of when I was younger, I'm taking Cody through."

However that wasn't the end for Heather as she was quickly stolen by Paloma.

"Oh my God!" reacted the student.

George celebrated: "See, I said it would end well in the end."

Therefore both girls will appear in the knockouts in two weeks' time.

But for now, The Voice UK battles conclude next weekend on BBC One.
