The Voice UK: Kylie Minogue in talks to come back to the panel

Kylie Minogue is said to be in early talks about making a return to The Voice UK in 2016.

The Timebomb hitmaker had originally quit the series after just one year in 2014, citing tour commitments that clashed with filming.

She said at the time: "I just can’t go back next season [2015] as I am on tour, but the season after that… it’s an open book. Let’s see."

A source told The Evening Standard this week that producers have contacted Kylie about a comeback, replacing Rita Ora after she jumped ship to The X Factor.

They said: "Kylie always retained a good relationship with The Voice and they have already spoken about her coming back."

The Voice UK producer Moira Ross previously said that Kylie had never actually quit the show and was instead ‘on hiatus’.

“Kylie’s doing her world tour, so she’s not available for series four’s filming dates,” she aid. “But hopefully we’ll have her back for series five.

“So it’s a little hiatus.”

Like Kylie, Series 1 and 2 coach on The Voice UK Jessie J recently said a return could be on the cards.

“I miss doing The Voice,” the Bang Bang hitmaker told Q Magazine. “Winter days remind me of doing the show, but who knows? It might not be that long until I’m back on The Voice. Wink, wink!”
